Abbé Jacques Hamel: "I Will Be Active Until My Last Breath"

"Have you ever seen a priest in retirement? I will be active until the last breath."
Abbé Jacques Hamel said this as he celebrated his golden anniversary as a priest in 2008. At the age of 86 years, Abbé Hamel was murdered on July 26, 2016 by Mohammedans at the parish church of Saint Etienne de Rouvray at Rouen, just as he celebrated Holy Mass at the altar

Islam's rule of numbers:
http://www.raymondibrahim.com/2013/05/28/islams-rule-of-numbers-and-the-london-beheading/

i.e., barring a miracle of mass conversions, France is likely to experience more and more of this.

Of course, he's not the first priest to be martyred in France in the modern age. This is the fruit of laicité as much as of Mohammedanism.

Yes the murder of anyone (Catholic, Jew,Muslim or anyone) is horrific. The murder of someone innocently worshiping God in a Church or Temple or wherever is more horrifying. But where are the voices of outrage at the murder of "alter Christus" in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. I would have thought that the desecration of the Mass would be something to make Catholics fall into shock. Has the world forgotten what the Mass and the Priest offering it really is ? I am more shocked now by the lack of reaction to this than the murder in a church

Yes, thanks to Vatican II, it's deforms, and priests and Popes like Francis, the Catholic world except where the Traditional Mass exists have forgotten what the Mass and the priest offering it represents. Two generations of horrible catechesis by radical liberal lay-clothes nuns whining for women priests, and likewise radical liberal priests in the mold of Francis have destroyed the Catholic Faith and the Mass, and discarded Catholic traditions and reverence and sense of the sacred.
If you are not taught these things, if they are openly mocked and ridiculed by the very people who are supposed to promote/protest/defend them (Pope Francis, and all priests, nuns, and laity like his ilk)...what do you expect.
The radical liberal French bishops, and likewise their priests, and especially this Pope and his midset and those like him, are responsible for this sense of loss of Catholic tradition and what a priest and the Mass really is. It's not just the secular times we live in...but rather a conscious effort by large parts of the Catholic Church, including this Pope, to destroy what the Catholic Church has always stood for and believed in. They are to blame more than anything else.

I Hope Pope Francis receives a very cold and unwelcoming reception in Poland....where apparently from what I have read, the vast majority actually hate him! Good riddance.

See that, Pope Benedict? Priests...and popes...do not "retire". Father Hamel is a saint. Literally. Martyred within hours of the anniversary of Saint James the Apostle first martred apostle beheaded by order of Agrippa.

That's right Dane! I never thought of that. We would not be in the awful position we are in the Church , nor would we have a worthless individual as Bergoglio as Pope had Benedict XVI had the backbone and courage to stay as Pope.
He's not in that bad shape except for his legs that he couldn't have stayed on. He was a wimp and a coward, and allowed himself to be maneuvered our of office by the clique of radical liberal Cardinals who didn't want him in the first place. He cut and ran away from the wolves, rather than fight them down.
He even admitted as much afew weeks ago on his 65th anniversary as a priest, that he was wrong to be such a weak Pope in the face of the radicals. He let them force him out.
He should have been Pope till the end.

Damian, THEY didn't want him there anymore, can you understand it? Ever heard of Skt. Gallen mafia, or the covenant of the catacombes, and don't forget the Swift control. We are in war, but our european politic leaders will never say that it is so. God bless+

Yes, I heard of the Skt. Gallen Mafia, the German Cardinals, Schoenborn, the late a.h. Jesuit Cardinal Martini, Cardinals Sodano, Re, Sandri, Murphy-O'Connor, O'Malley, etc. Worthless people all.
But I still believe the next time, hopefully soon, we will get a traditional/traditionalist Pope who will send these old men losers packing up and running. Once Sodano (almost 90!!) is gone and some others, things will change for the better.

Like every other insult, threat, assault, rape, maiming and murder that the disciples of Mohammed commit in Europe, Pope Evita bears responsibility. Other popes have shamed the See of Peter by their personal immorality, but none, to my knowledge, have ever shown such collaboration with the 1400 year old enemy of Christendom. It beggars the mind. What a vile man.

How so?

The point of the article is that a priest was murdered. I don't think it made any difference to the moslem whether the priest was offering a traditional or novus ordo Mass; the result would have been the same.

Let us just hope that the murderer receives his just reward from God Almighty - never mind Allah!!

I think this man being a priest ordained before 1968-1969 was a major factor in deciding which church to attack.
May God rest his Soul Requiescat in Pace.

I jope Pope Bergoglio got a very unfriendly reception in Poland today. I read that his liberal antics, and his Muslim-loving acts have caused 80% of the Polish people to downright hate him.
Manybe he got a chorus of boos today. Hopefully no one showed up to cheer him, or maybe just a handful.
I read that this week of the WYD in Poland weather wise will be a wash out....thunderstorms, hale, and drenching rain. Ill omen for Bergoglio? Hope so :)
